Gloria Ladson-Billings

Gloria Ladson-Billings is the Kellner Family Professor of Urban Education at the University of Wisconsin. Leslie Wills-Taylor

Leslie has been an elementary educator in central Virginia since 2008. As both a fourth-grade teacher and diversity resource teacher, she collaboratively designs and co-facilitates a variety of professional developments on multicultural education and culturally responsive instructional strategies. Wills-Taylor also organizes diversity awareness events that build sustainable home-school partnerships. She is one of the recipients of the 2016 Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Teaching. Chris Hoeh

Chris Hoeh is a second-grade teacher at Cambridge Friends School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has developed an academically rigorous, multi-disciplinary, yearlong social studies curriculum that follows the creation of clothing from cotton. Each step in this process is connected to historical and contemporary struggles for social justice. Hoeh has led anti-racist study groups and shares his substantial experience as a mentor to practicing teachers. He is also a recipient of the 2014 Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Teaching.
