Molly is an activist focusing on issues of education and racial and socioeconomic injustice. A graduate of the University of Virginia, she will begin pursuing her master's degree in teaching at the University of Georgia in fall 2015. Molly is passionate about making sure all students get the education they deserve and is working on a book project on teacher activism. She is also a coordinating member of the Young Teachers Collective.

Jen Cort is the founder of Jen Cort Educational Consulting. Her educational passion is to create safe spaces for kids to be seen and heard at all times while learning to use their voices and be visible in ways that work for them. Cort helps schools in this work by drawing on years of experience as a division head of an independent school, clinical social worker, school counselor and author.

Dr. Trey Adcock is a former secondary social studies teach who went on to earn a doctorate in Education at the University of North at Carolina Chapel Hill where he was named to the Royster Society of Fellows as a Sequoyah Scholar. His research interests pertain to issues of representation in school curriculum, social studies education and technology integration. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina, Asheville.

Murali is the Hindu American Foundation’s director of education and curriculum reform. Balaji works on empowering educators in culturally competent pedagogical approaches. He also serves as an advisor to numerous organizations around the country in promoting religious literacy and civic engagement. Balaji is the author of several books, including The Professor and The Pupil, and the co-editor of the seminal anthologies Desi Rap and Global Masculinities and Manhood.

Mollie has over fourteen years of experience in education; she is a trainer of trainers for Olweus Bully Prevention and an adjunct faculty member for Western International University.

Auguste is a writer and mother of four who lives in New Jersey. She writes about the cultural experiences of families for anthologies, children’s magazines and academic journals.

Angela P. Dodson is the chief executive officer and founder of Editorsoncall LLC., www.editorsoncall.com, which offers free-lance editorial services and consulting. Dodson has most recently been an online editor and book reviewer for DIVERSE: Issues In Higher Education, diverseeducation.com and diversebooks.net. She has also edited special magazine supplements for DIVERSE and the Chronicle of Higher Education. She is the former executive editor of Black Issues Book Review. Angela is a former senior editor and former Style editor for the New York Times. Dodson has edited and ghost-written books

Jeff McMahon is a teaching artist in New York City public schools. For his own performance work, he has received eight fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Francesina R. Jackson has worked as an administrator in teacher education programs. She has served as an evaluator with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

Katy writes about issues of power and privilege for the Whitman College Pioneer and, as a politics major, studies systems of oppression in international and domestic politics. She focuses her studies on political economy of women and works in her community with an organization that facilitates discussion and works to empower young women to become strong leaders. Katy is passionate about breaking out of her comfort zone, trying new things and going on outdoor adventures.
