He is the author of numerous research articles that examine the intersections of social inequality, formations of youth citizenship and social belonging, and education reform in contexts characterized by rapid sociopolitical change. Shirazi has conducted research and worked on educational initiatives in New York and other U.S. cities, as well as Jordan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, France and the Maldives.

John L. Adams received his Bachelor and Master of Arts in English, History and African-American Studies from the University of Wisconsin and his PhD. from Rutgers University.

Laura is a professor of English, ethnic studies and women and gender studies at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She is also a published author of non-fiction and poetry.

Dr. Amanda Morris is an Associate Professor of writing and rhetoric at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Her scholarship and much of her public writing and speaking engagements focus on contemporary Indigenous rhetorics. Her academic writing can be found in Rhetoric Review, Epiphany, WSQ, Journal of American Culture, Enthymema, South Atlantic Review, and the books Stand Up Comedy and Rhetoric (Routledge, 2016) and Decolonizing Native American Rhetoric: Communicating Self-Determination (Peter Lang, 2018).

Murali is the Hindu American Foundation’s director of education and curriculum reform. Balaji works on empowering educators in culturally competent pedagogical approaches. He also serves as an advisor to numerous organizations around the country in promoting religious literacy and civic engagement. Balaji is the author of several books, including The Professor and The Pupil, and the co-editor of the seminal anthologies Desi Rap and Global Masculinities and Manhood.

Vishavjit Singh is a cartoonist, writer, performance artist and creator of Sikhtoons.com based in New York City. He is a public speaker expounding on diversity, inclusion, storytelling and power of art in schools, universities and companies across the nation. He is also a Creative Arts and Diversity Fellow at Washington DC based Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund.
