Marisa Fasciano is an Education Program Associate at the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding. She earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Chicago in 1992 and worked for numerous years as a social science researcher, evaluating the effectiveness of large-scale education, health, and welfare programs. Since earning her Master of Social Work from Adelphi University in 2006, she specializes in diversity and peace education.

Elizabeth Birr Moje is an Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Literacy, Language, and Culture in Educational Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. Moje teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in secondary and adolescent literacy, literacy and cultural theory, and qualitative and mixed research methods. Moje also serves as a Faculty Associate in the University’s Institute for Social Research, and a Faculty Affiliate in Latino/a Studies. Amber is the director of Curriculum and Research at the University of Hawai‘i Uehiro Academy for Philosophy and Ethics in Education and an associate specialist at the University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Education Institute for Teacher Education Secondary Program. She is a dedicated practitioner of philosophy for children in Hawai‘i and achieved National Board Certification while teaching secondary social studies in the Hawaii State Department of Education for over 10 years. Stephanie P. Jones, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of education at Grinnell College. She is also the founder of Mapping Racial Trauma in Schools. Stephanie earned her B.A. in Philosophy and Rhetoric & Communications from the University of Pittsburgh. She continued her education at the same institution, earning a teaching certificate in English/Language Arts and M.Ed. in English Education. She recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education. Jill E. Thomas taught English at Life Academy of Health and Bioscience, a small public high school in Oakland, California, for nine years. In addition to teaching English, she had the opportunity to design and teach electives in outdoor education, mindfulness, world dance and food systems. She now works for the Oakland Unified School District coaching principals to provide meaningful, growth-oriented feedback to teachers. She holds a bachelor of arts in English and anthropology from Santa Clara University and a master of arts in education from the University of California at Berkeley.
