Samantha has been a social studies teacher in New York City public schools since 2007. During this time, she has taught a wide range of history, art, health, research and writing courses to high school students. In 2013, she was the recipient of the Teachers Who Make a Difference Award from Scholarship Plus.

Laura is a 22-year veteran public school teacher in a large suburban school north of Syracuse, New York. Brown runs a Medium publication called " Teaching in Trump's America" that features her own work and other educators' posts.

Carrie Craven currently works as an ELA paraprofessional and intervention specialist at a second-year charter school in Louisiana. She moved from Seattle as a Teach for America cohort in Louisiana. For three years she taught middle-school writing and language arts the New Orleans area. She earned an interdisciplinary degree in the Social Art of Language.

Ginger Aaron-Brush teaches elementary physical education in metro Birmingham, Alabama. As an educator for 15 years she has mentored many student interns and has lead countless professional development sessions. She holds bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Montevallo and an educational specialist degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Jonathan teaches seventh- and eighth-grade history at Moses Brown School, a Quaker school in Providence, Rhode Island. His classes focus on developing students’ historical thinking skills while inspiring them to consider issues of injustice and morality in the past and present. Jill E. Thomas taught English at Life Academy of Health and Bioscience, a small public high school in Oakland, California, for nine years. In addition to teaching English, she had the opportunity to design and teach electives in outdoor education, mindfulness, world dance and food systems. She now works for the Oakland Unified School District coaching principals to provide meaningful, growth-oriented feedback to teachers. She holds a bachelor of arts in English and anthropology from Santa Clara University and a master of arts in education from the University of California at Berkeley.

Ashley Lauren Samsa teaches high school English in the south suburbs of Chicago. She also does some freelance writing.
