Kristan Taylor has been teaching for eight years. She currently serves as migrant education coordinator in Aubrey, Texas. She holds a Master of Arts in teaching English as a second language from the University of North Texas, Denton.

Rosalie Franks is a professor of writing, literature and philosophy at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. She designs lessons that inspire students to examine their values and to take action on social issues. A graduate of Smith College in English literature, she earned her master’s degrees in childhood education and curriculum development from Teachers College, Columbia University and her doctorate in humanistic education from Boston University. Early in her career, Rosalie was a fourth-grade teacher on Boston’s WGBH TV.

Kevin Baxter has been teaching for almost forty years. Though an Early Childhood specialist, Kevin has taught or coached students at every grade level from pre-school through high school, as well as Gifted Education. He currently works in Asheville N.C., substitute teaching, writing, and volunteer teaching for the Buncombe County Literacy Council.

David Knight teaches at Boston Arts Academy, a public school for the visual and performing arts. Previously, he taught middle and high school humanities in Boston and San Francisco and also has experience in youth development. A graduate of Dartmouth, Stanford and Harvard, David writes on issues related to race, adolescent development and teaching for social justice.

Teaching Tolerance couldn’t serve educators the way we do without the feedback and support of an important group of teachers, counselors, media specialists, school- and district-level administrators and education professors: the Teaching Tolerance Advisory Board. Dana Compton McCullough is a biology teacher at Evans High School in Evans, Georgia. She has taught middle school science and language arts, 5th grade science, math, and language arts, and various high school science classes for 23 years in Columbia County, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Augusta State University and Master’s Degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University. Her research and teaching interests include teaching science for social justice and Freirean approaches to teaching and learning.

Sadaf has a background in journalism and has worked on documentaries and online media projects in India and the United States. Siddique's prior experience includes developing content around social impact investing and leading editorial strategy and project management. Siddique also has experience in managing content acquisitions as editorial manager for Imagining Ourselves, an award-winning, multilingual and multimedia online exhibit.
