Jozette Martinez is a middle and high school business teacher in the heart of downtown Denver, Colorado, where she is an eighth-generation resident. She leads her eighth-grade AVID team and coaches her school’s Student Board of Education. She is also an adjunct professor in business and technology, a district trainer of teachers and a national teacher leader instructor through the Center for Teaching Quality, with a focus on social justice, equity and inclusion.
