The War in Vietnam

A Black community in McComb, Mississippi, in July 1965 encourages their draft-aged men to not serve in the Vietnam War. They list five reasons, including their belief that the war is being fought for the “White Man’s freedom” and that the goal of the war is to make the “White American” wealthier. They also claim solidarity with other “Colored People” in the world.
