I Can See Clearly Now

Students who don’t see well don’t learn well. There may be a place to buy eyeglasses in every mall, but for many children, a visit to the eye doctor is a rare event. These children struggle with undiagnosed or untreated vision problems because they don’t have access to screenings or treatment.

Christopher Howell

Christopher Howell (he/him) got his start teaching nine preschoolers at a small private school in Virginia Beach. After receiving his undergrad and graduate degrees from the University of Virginia, funded by the Gates Millennium Scholars Program, he went on to teach 4th and 5th grades for three years.
