Kelly Hannon is a life coach and teacher at The Excel Center University Heights, a high school for adults in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in urban education at Indiana University—Purdue University Indianapolis. Kelly's interests include critical literacy, social justice and student activism. In her spare time, she loves to go hiking and camping, and is currently attempting to complete the 52 Hike Challenge by the end of 2016.

Helen Angell is a senior in politics and environmental studies at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. Her academic career has focused on the intersections of social justice and the environment. While at Whitman, she has conducted research on social exclusions in urban space and the racialized rhetoric of environmental food movements. Angell is also a news writer for The Whitman Pioneer. She is passionate about the power of education and storytelling.

Sean is a content strategist and editor in Texas; he is also a former managing editor for Teaching Tolerance. He has written more than 40 non-fiction books, most of them aimed at young adults and teachers. Price served as managing editor at Junior Scholastic magazine, where he collaborated with NBC News on the production of classroom videos.

A graduate of University of Michigan and Harvard Graduate School of Education, Debra Solomon Baker has been a middle school Language Arts educator for more than a decade. She has presented at national education conferences, most recently on the integration of technology in the English classroom. While attending school full-time, Jessica teaches undergraduate classes and facilitates pre-service teachers' field-experience work in local public schools. She frequently presents at conferences and is conducting an ongoing research project with a high school social studies teacher. Kobe is also a teacher consultant for the Red Clay Writing Project (a local branch of the National Writing Project).

Christine P. Sun is deputy legal director for the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Hannah teaches high school social studies in the Greater Boston area. Specializing in post-Reconstruction American history and AP European history, Edsall pursues teaching history from multiple perspectives using primary sources and strives to make history relevant to her students. She is also the advisor for her school's social justice club, where she spends afternoons discussing prejudice, discrimination, politics and current events with over 20 students.

Jeremy is a writer and public school educator. He has taught English for nearly two decades since graduating from Middlebury College in Vermont. He is passionate about using the classroom and the study of literature to help students navigate a complex world. He writes frequently about education, parenting, running and the world as a whole.
