Patty Johnson is a clinical health psychologist who enjoys creating art related to spirituality, culture, justice and other bizarre and beautiful intricacies of life. She's the author of Where the Tiger Dwells, a memoir about her very Indian Christian parents who are giddily in the process of arranging her marriage, while she becomes faint at the thought of telling them she’s having her secret American boyfriend’s baby. She has also written Essays of Night and Daylight, which includes stories on how culture and womanhood collide between two generations of an immigrant family. Patty speaks

Selena A. Carrión is an ELA teacher, library media specialist, activist and writer currently working in the New York City Public Schools. Her work focuses on the advancement of anti-racist teaching practices, historically responsive literacy instruction, multimodal approaches to learning using media for social change, the mobilization of parents of color and the equitable transformation of our schools. Eshe Price is a Ph.D. candidate in urban education in the Department of Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Education at Rowan University. Her dissertation examines the schooling experiences of Black girls in predominantly white, suburban and rural communities through mixed-methods research. Through her research, Eshe aims to position Black girls as the experts to guide support for Black girls in schools. Recently, she received dissertation funding from the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Division G. Additionally, Eshe is interested in the use of critical quantitative
