Sarah L. Webb is currently a Ph.D. student in English education with interests in digital media, race and gender. She is also the founder of ColorismHealing.org, where she hosts an international poetry contest for youth and adults. Sarah has previously taught English language arts and college composition courses and has been a youth mentor for several years. In addition to teaching, she’s worked as a freelance writer and a digital media manager for local news and TV stations. Peggy Frezon is a freelance writer living in upstate New York. She also writes reading comprehension tests and tutors ESOL.

Brian Elliot recently graduated from Parkway School District in St. Louis, Mo., and is currently a freshman at Stanford University.

Kelly Chandler, a former English and social studies teacher, is pursuing her doctorate in literacy at the University of Maine.

Charles Doersch is an instructor in the Program for Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Ashley Lauren Samsa teaches high school English in the south suburbs of Chicago. She also does some freelance writing.

Stephen Jay Gould wrote The Geometer of Race, a discussion of origins of racial catagorizations in the 18th century.

Megan Fuciarelli currently serves as the Director of Curriculum in Indian Springs District #109, a southwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois.

Marcy is a middle and high school Spanish teacher at Watkinson School in Hartford, Connecticut. During a seven-year hiatus from teaching she served as a college admissions counselor and earned her M.Ed. in curriculum. Beyond the campus, she delivers workshops at regional and national professional conferences, where she applies her training as a Critical Friendship coach and facilitator.

David Knight teaches at Boston Arts Academy, a public school for the visual and performing arts. Previously, he taught middle and high school humanities in Boston and San Francisco and also has experience in youth development. A graduate of Dartmouth, Stanford and Harvard, David writes on issues related to race, adolescent development and teaching for social justice.
