Jessyca is an English teacher at Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint, Michigan, who has used her voice and her story to inspire students and move them to action. Her students have been inspired to use creative expression to channel their responses to multiple social issues. In 2017, her students developed a collaboration with students in Lansing, Michigan, finding the power of their collective voices to advocate for clean water during the Flint water crisis. Liz Kleinrock (she/her) is an anti-bias and anti-racist educator of both children and adults, and creates curriculum for K-12 students, specializing in designing inquiry-based units of study. In addition to her work as a classroom teacher, Liz works with schools and companies to facilitate learning for adults that supports anti-bias and anti-racist practices. In 2018, she received the Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Teaching, and in 2019 delivered her TED Talk, “ How to Teach Kids to Talk About Taboo Topics.” In the spring of 2021, Liz released her first book, Start Here, Start Now
Dr. Aradhana Mudambi is an accomplished multilingual educator and social justice activist. She has her undergraduate degree from Rice University and a master’s degree and doctorate from Harvard University. She is currently the Director of ESOL, Bilingual Education and World Languages at Windham Public Schools where she founded Dos Ríos, the first one-way, developmental dual language program in New England. Dr. Mudambi is also an adjunct professor of intercultural communications at Eastern Connecticut State University and vice president of the Multistate Association for Bilingual Education,
