Nikole Parker (she/her) is director of Transgender Equality for Equality Florida and co-founder and director of operations for the Gender Advancement Project (GAP); she has served on the boards or advisory councils of numerous rights organizations.

Kaplan teaches in the Africana Studies Department at the University of South Florida, Tampa. He was the Executive Director of the National Conference of Christians and Jews for Tampa Bay and served as an advisor to President Clinton’s race relations task force. In 1998, he received a National Hero of Education Award from the U.S. Department of Education for his multicultural work in Florida schools. His most recent book is The Myth of Post-Racial America.

Max Altman is a researcher at McREL International in Honolulu who received his Ph.D. in Education Policy, Leadership and Innovation from the University of Michigan in 2017. His research interests lie in the creation of contextually relevant K–12 educational policy that reflects and supports social justice initiatives. He has taught math at the high school level and teacher education and math courses at the college level.
