Chris Hoeh is a second-grade teacher at Cambridge Friends School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has developed an academically rigorous, multi-disciplinary, yearlong social studies curriculum that follows the creation of clothing from cotton. Each step in this process is connected to historical and contemporary struggles for social justice. Hoeh has led anti-racist study groups and shares his substantial experience as a mentor to practicing teachers. He is also a recipient of the 2014 Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Sadaf has a background in journalism and has worked on documentaries and online media projects in India and the United States. Siddique's prior experience includes developing content around social impact investing and leading editorial strategy and project management. Siddique also has experience in managing content acquisitions as editorial manager for Imagining Ourselves, an award-winning, multilingual and multimedia online exhibit.

Seema G. Pothini's commitment to underserved youth began by improving student engagement and success as an elementary school teacher in Houston, TX. In addition to teaching students and training teachers, Seema has worked as a K-12 Cultural Integration Specialist in racially and socioeconomically diverse schools. She also serves on the board of directors for a youth homeless shelter in Minneapolis as well as the Minnesota chapter of the National Association for Multicultural Education. Her experience as a child of immigrant parents, coupled with her students' and their families' experiences

Sonia Galaviz is a 5th grade elementary teacher in Boise, Idaho. She has taught in both the primary and intermediate grades and teaches as an adjunct faculty for University of Phoenix and Boise State University. In 2009 she received the honor of Idaho Woman of the Year from the Idaho Business Review. In 2011 Sonia was one of five educators in the nation chosen to receive an award in Excellence in Culturally Responsive Pedagogy from Teaching Tolerance. Sonia serves on the state board for the Idaho Education Association.

Mary is a fourth-grade teacher in Salem, Oregon. Each day she leaves the classroom with pockets full of intercepted notes and gratitude for the opportunity to learn with a roomful of 9-year-olds.
