November is National American Indian Heritage Month! In this edition of The Moment, you'll find resources and recommendations that can help ensure Native histories and experiences are respected and represented in your classroom.

For far too many students, Thanksgiving stories and celebrations serve as their first introduction to the histories and cultures of American Indians. The resources in this edition of The Moment offer the opportunity to teach a more accurate story about the origins of Thanksgiving.

Even if your students are too young to vote, there are plenty of ways they can get involved in the last few days of this year's election season. This week students witnessed troops being deployed to the southern border in response to migrants seeking asylum.
