For the past eight years, Hayley Breden has taught social studies courses at Denver South High School. Hayley attended Lawrence University, a liberal arts college in Wisconsin, to earn her B.A. in history with minors in ethnic studies and environmental studies, along with her teaching license. She earned an M.A. in Educational Foundations, Policy, and Practice from CU-Boulder in 2016. Breden completed her student teaching at a public high school on Chicago’s South Side. Molly is an activist focusing on issues of education and racial and socioeconomic injustice. A graduate of the University of Virginia, she will begin pursuing her master's degree in teaching at the University of Georgia in fall 2015. Molly is passionate about making sure all students get the education they deserve and is working on a book project on teacher activism. She is also a coordinating member of the Young Teachers Collective.

Willis D. Hawley is a professor of education and public affairs at the University of Maryland, where he served as dean of the College of Education from 1993 to 1998. He has taught at Yale and Duke, and is former dean of the Peabody College of Education at Vanderbilt.
