Jan S. Gephardt

Jan S. Gephardt is an artist, writer and teacher. She holds a degree in art with a minor in journalism and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a multicultural education emphasis. She has taught art, graphic design, journalism and publications on the secondary level, and design on the college level. Dr. Claudia Peralta is a professor in the Literacy Department at Boise State University. Her research interests focus on bilingual education, literacy and biliteracy, multicultural education, and social justice. She has published extensively in both English and Spanish, and her latest work focuses on the schooling experiences of Latinos and refugee students both in the U.S. and in their country of origin.
