For more 15 years Ramirez has been an activist for farmworkers and immigrant rights. She is currently acting deputy director at Centro del los Derechos del Migrante, Inc. (Center for Migrant Rights), based in Baltimore, Md. She was senior staff attorney and project director of Esperanza: The Immigrant Women's Legal Initiative at the Southern Poverty Law Center. She is the daughter and granddaughter of migrant farmworkers.

Jeremy is a writer and public school educator. He has taught English for nearly two decades since graduating from Middlebury College in Vermont. Hiller is a mentor to first- and second-year teachers in Oregon and a member of the Teaching Tolerance Advisory Board.

Erickson is a fourth grade teacher at the Thoreau Elementary School in Concord, Massachusetts. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Before becoming a teacher, Erickson was a Food Technologist.

Liz Harlan-Ferlo is a writer and world religions teacher at a PreK-12 independent Episcopal school, where she also serves as the advisor to the intercultural student association and also as a chaplain.

Barrie Moorman is a high school history teacher at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. She engages her students by taking them out of the classroom and into the community, including a civil rights tour of the South to empower her students through history. Moorman also emphasizes critical thinking and learning through stories. She facilitates Race and Equity in Education Seminars in D.C. She is also a receipient of the 2014 Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Teaching.
